sending string of characters over mesh

Hi team,

I looking for an example on how I can setup a mesh to send and receive string of characters from and to mesh nodes.

I have couple of nrf52832 modules connected in mesh light switch example configuration from mesh SDK V1.0.1 and I am struggling. 

any help would be appreciated.
