Max timer frequency in counter mode

Hi,

What is the max timer frequency that the nrf52840 can handle in counter mode? 

I see that the timer runs at max 16Mhz when in timer mode, is it possible to get 32Mhz or even 64Mhz when in counter mode with an external clock signal on the count input?

Hey Gunnar,

I'm afraid not. The TIMER/COUNTER peripheral gets it's count task from the PPI system who operates at 16MHz.
