Does nRF52810 Support Central

Hi,

I'm wondering if the nRF52810 supports Central mode. I noticed that currently only the S112 is intended for production on the nRF52810, which only supports Peripheral mode. But I also see that you can run the S132 on the nRF52810 if you're doing development. Will there be a Central + Peripheral soft device coming out that is compatible with the nRF52810 chipset? Thanks!

  • Hi,

S112 is currently the only supported SoftDevice on nRF52810 and doesn't support Central. The engineering sample of the device was compatible with an alpha version of the S132, neither this device or the SoftDevice are suited for end products.

I can't make any promises regarding any future SoftDevice with central support for the nRF52810. The device has very limited flash size, so fitting a SoftDevice with support for a central role is challenging since the application already has a quite restricted size.
