nordic cdc acm usb driver

Hi,

I'm using Nordic SDK version - nRF5_SDK_14.2.0_17b948a and Dev Board - PCA10056 V0.9.0 2017.10 - 683871638

USB serial driver is not detected on Windows 8.1 Pro while testing usbd_cdc_acm example. When I test the same example on Windows 10.0 Pro USB driver got installed automatically, I can able to detect USB Serial driver. After that USB CDC ACM example is working fine.

I have tried updating the nordic_cdc_acm_example on window8.1 pro but Windows protest that it is not compatible with the device and prompts me to check if it is designed to work with Windows x64 based systems.

Can you please help us how can I fix this USB driver issue on Windows 8.1 Pro?

Hi Deepa, 

This is not related to any specific SDK. Have you tried latest JLink drivers from the segger website?

Hi Aryan,

Yes I have tried with Latest Jlink drivers also. I'm able to detect Jlink CDC Driver. But unable to detect USB serial driver on nrf52 PCA10056 EVAL Board. This issue is observed for Windows 8.1 Pro only. But When I checked on windows 10, the USB serial driver got installed automatically I can able to test USB CDC Serial driver exmple.

Can you please share the nordic_cdc_acm_example setup information file for windows 8.1 Pro so that I will try to install manually?
