Debug nrf52

I am using KDeveloper  to program the nRF52, so far it has been working fine, but I want to be able ofdebugging and going into breakpoints, etc. What should I set in order of being able of doing that?

It does not say where to define the DEBUG.

It also does not say how to actually debug when using a gcc tool that it's not Keil for example.
