modify ios nrf beacon app to identify nrf beacons

Is there a way to modify the code in the ios nrf beacon app to identify nordic beacons?

I am aware that the manufacturing id must be set to 0x004C in order to be identified in ios. I have programmed 0x0059 as the manufacturing id on my beacon.

But I am unable to upgrade the firmware of the beacon as I have shipped the product abroad. Is there a workaround available for it in the ios app?

Hi,

There is no way to modify the nRF Beacon app on iOS to identify beacons unless the manufacturing ID is 0x004C. You should be able to find the becaon in nRF Connect.
