RFID Tag

Is there a product suitable for RFID (animal and object tagging)?

  • Thank you. I will check those. Explain: People are looking for a self-powered (harvesting) transponder for tagging things. So that the tag read range can be several meters. Existing passive tags require too much illumination power to meet that distance requirement. (The RF illumination power exceeds safety or compatibility limits). Otherwise, long-range (active) tags require a battery and that is not optimum, when long-term storage is a consideration. Freqs of 2.4 and above would allow smaller antennas. I dont know why rfid designers dont use the higher GHz freqs...works well for radar, huh? Some thought could surely be given to the problem of interference with existing services, such as using a very low pulsing duty cycle, etc., with the rfid system. - - John

  • I don't have any information on people making energy harvesting designs employing one of our chips, but I believe it could be done if needed.
