SPIM3 - best muxing

Hi there,

SPIM3 running at max speed (32MHz) will be the fastest external interface (along with QSPI)

Because I would like to make to most of it, I wondered if you had specific recommendation as to which pins to connect it to?

We could maybe re-use the same pins as were used for your validation just for safety...

Thanks for your help,

Mickael

  • I have a board using SPIM3 MISO and SCK on pins marked as "Standard drive, low frequency I/O only" and running at 16 Mbps with no apparent issue. I've only done limited testing, though, and I assume perhaps it won't be very reliable in edge cases... maybe?

Can you describe in more detail what this "low frequency I/O only" recommendation means in practice? Is it perhaps in situations where SPIM3 would interfere with other modules trying to use other nearby pins?
