When I update the firmware to version 2.1.0, the value that TVOC reads is always 0, whether or not it is related to the thingy gas sensor requires 48 hours of operation time (burn in) to self-calibrate.
How to do burn in action on gas sensor?

Hi!
Did you get readings from it before the firmware update?
As far as I know the burn-in is only needed once. Not after every FW update.
However, the sensor datasheet recommends run-in of 20 minutes. So the sensor should be up and running for aprox. 20 minutes to output valid data.
Read more about it in this post.
Best regards,
Joakim.

Hi Joakim
Yes , I had read the values before update firmware.
Before update firmware , blowing towards thingy 52 TVOC and eCO2 values will change
But now that I have operated thingy 52 for more than 4 hours , the values of TVOC is still 0 and the values of eCO2 doesn't
exceed 400ppm.
Is there a way to determine if the CCS811 sensor is faulty or other problem?
Thanks in advance.
Hi!
That sounds strange!
I've never seen that before.
I tested this with my Thingy. After I updated to FW 2.1.0 and after running for 10-15 minutes it starts outputting valid data for the air quality.
Do you have a nRF52-DK or a programmer available?
If so, you could try to erase and reprogram your Nordic Thingy:52 with FW v2.1.0 using nRFgo Studio?
Please let me know if you are not able to reprogram your Thingy or that it doesn't solve the issue.
Best regards,
Joakim.
Hi Joakim
I tried to use the 52DK to update the Application
thingy_v1.1.0.HW_1.0.hex
thingy_v2.0.0.HW_1.0.hex
thingy_v2.1.0.HW_1.0.hex
The result is the same, the TVOC value is 0, if I need to update my version of SoftDevice
Thanks in advance
Ok, thanks for trying!
I talked to our team developing the Thingy, and they had never seen this either.
The softdevice is included in the precompiled hex file, so there is no need to do anything about the softdevice.
You don't need to flash the softdevice before the FW hex file either.
Just to eliminate all possible reasons for this issue, could you tell me how you are connecting to the thingy?
Are you using a phone? if so, which phone and OS are you using? (also OS version if possible)
Also, what version of the Thingy app are you running?
Cheers.
Hi Joakim
I use I phone 6s,OS 10.1.1,and use Nordic Thingy version 1.3.2 App to connect Thingy 52 .
Thanks in advance
