I have been researching BLE 5.0 for the feasibility of Nordic Bluetooth chips in our new products.
I have read many times in the general internet posts that BLE 5.0 devices will have greater range, partly due to the migration to 20 dBm.
However I am concerned that these internet posts are not based on real world activity. I predict that most BLE products will not move to 20 dBm.
In general, could you indicate if Nordic is changing most of its 2019 and later chips to 20 dBm? I suspect not.
Thank you for your great advice. I really appreciate the wise counsel from the contributors to this Nordic forum.
Thanks, Allen
