The difference between BLE 4.2 & 5.0

Hello Friends,

im new here. It is the first time with the development of a Bluetooth device. I want to use the NRF52832 Chip.

But what are the biggest diefferent between BLE 4.2 and 5.0 expect the long range? At example one device is bonding(and control) with more devices at the same time?

Thanks

  • Hi!

I'm glad you are considering the nRF52832 for your project.

If you take a look at our website, we have a section about Bluetooth 5 where you can read more about the new features.

How many concurrent connections you can have is limited by our softdevice.
Using the latest softdevice allows you to have up to 20 concurrent connections.

Good luck on your project, and be sure to let me know if you have any more questions.

    Best regards.
    Joakim.
