Problem connecting the PPK with 2.0 software

I am setting up the Power Profiler kit as standalone, no DK, measuring external target, also use the Segger jLink as interface.  With the 2.0 software, it could not connect to the PPK. I tried this on 2 computers both running windows 10.

When I install the 1.0 software and reflash the PPK with the firmware it comes with, everything just come up fine.

Any idea? Thanks.

  • What do you mean by using PPK standalone? no DK but still measuring external target? little confusing to understand, can you please upload a pic of your setup?

  • Hi Aryan,

My setup is according to section 6.6 "Measuring current on custom hardware without
nRF5x DK", of the User Guide 2.0. Below is the picture, ie. Figure 13. I follow the instructions provided.

After installing V2.0 software, it cannot connect to the PPK. Under "Select serial port", no port is shown. Tried restarting computer and reconnect cable, no help. I tried on 2 computers.

Without touching the hardware further, I follow the instructions on User Guide 1.0, and install the software. After re-flash the unit with the supplied python script, the software comes up and connect to the PPK without issue.
