recover failed unknown error nrfgo nrf52 thingy

The nordic thingy won't program anymore every time I try to program it gives an unknown error.

Does this mean that it is bricked and i need to change the chip or is there a way to fix this problem?

seems like your device is bricked. Last time you managed to program it, did you make it go to deep sleep too early after reset?

I uploaded the Bluetooth mesh example to the chip and might have bricked it after I turned it off and on. Is there a way to unbrick it or should I replace the ic?

If recover does not work, then most likely it is bricked and you need to replace the chip.
