Why is support for nRF51 is dropped?

Hi,
I have done some developing for nRF51822 with Keil before and now I have started out with a new project using Segger so of course I wanted to use the lastest SDK with support for Segger.
I soon discovered that Nordic seems to have dropped complete support for nRF51822 from SDK 12.3, I ran in to absent ADC support (nrf_drv_adc.c and .h).

Why is that?
Can we expect that the nRF51 series is reaching their end-of-Life?

Hey Lars-Erik,

The nRF51 serie is definitely not near it's End of Life, but we have stopped developing SW for it. The last supported SDK will be 12.3. 
We will continue to ship devices as long as there is a market for it. We still ship nRF24, nRF8002, and nRF905, and those devices are OLD.
