transmission power setting 2dm

Hi all,

Is it possible to get a softdevice which can do 2dBm output? Our device is very power critical, but we would like to have as much power as possible.

At 4 and 3dBm the power consumption is a bit too high. 2dBm would be ideal. But the softdevice only does 0, 3, and 4 dBm.

if available how to do that?

Hi, sorry no, +2dBm is not supported on the nRF52810.

At 0dBm the RSSI becomes -90dBm if the device is kept in the back pocket and the mobile is kept in the front pocket. Which results in disconnection, if noise is high. The disconnection happens after sometime.

 

At 4dBm it works but we have a problem with power. We were hoping that 2dBm would provide adequate Tx power but would fit in our range. is there any way to achieve this.

hi,

  nrf52810 you can set your tx power to +2dbm. where as in nrf52840 you can set it has +2 dbm.
