How many beacon can work together in same place

I am developing a product for indoor positioning and some thing else.

I want to know that how many beacon device can operate in same place.

As I know, beacon devices can only operate 3 channels. So this means, interference.

I have tested about 30 devices, can operate in same office. Is this possible about 100 - 500 pcs?

  • There is no limit for maximum number of BLE devices in the room. The problem is that if there is too much devices you have the same situation as e.g. jamming and will be hard to reach you goal.

If you are about using many beacons good way will be to implement mesh network on them, so you have only few enabled for the whole time, while rest can be wake up only to set position more precise (you will save a lot of battery).

There are many publication on indoor localisation with BLE beacouns already, just go through them and read all pros and cons since there is a lot of them.
