Range problems between two nRF52840 SDK

Heey everyone,

I'm currently working on a wireless application and we would like to have a range of atleast 300 meter. Yesterday I was testing the range between 2 SDK boards and had some nice results in the morning. But at some point the range went down to just a couple of cm and I haven't been able to fix this problem yet. At this point I was working with the version "nRF5 SDK v14.2.0" and the example "Experimental: ATT_MTU Throughput Example".

I also tried the example "BLE Blinky Client Application Example" and "BLE Blinky Application". The range again was just a couple of centimeters. At this point I wanted to know if the problem lays with 1 or both of the boards so I connected them one by one to my phone (bluetooth 4.x) using the "BLE Blinky Application" example and the blinky app. This time the range was around 50 meters, for both SDK boards.

I find those results quite strange as I expected that atleast one would not connect to my phone. Does anyone know what is wrong and how to fix this? Or could someone explain why the connection between 2 SDK boards is very very bad (wasn't always like this) while I can still connect my phone to it and have a quite good connection? Thanks is advance!

Kind regards,

Elrick
