Hey,
I have seen some articles which says that voice over BLE (4.0) is possible but there is no standard profile for it.
So far i've seen :
has implement it . Does nordic softdevices provide support for this even with BLE 5.0 ?

Hi,
As you say Voice over ble is not a standard profile. But the throughput is high enough to transfer audio. Which is something we do in the smart remote 3 project. For more details see:
http://www.nordicsemi.com/eng/Products/Bluetooth-low-energy/nRFready-Smart-Remote-3-for-nRF52-Series
So you mean to say that nordic's chip (nRF52840) are capable of doing it but nordic hasnt just done it yet??
Is there any support or in the future any plans for support, for voice over ble from nordics side ?? Or you think any rookie can do it with just creating a custom service and send voice over it
Not exactly, we do have a voice subsystem in smart remote 3. Unfortunately it is not readily available as you need a license to download this firmware. So if you need something simple it might be better to look at the Nordic Thingy sound service: http://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/com.nordic.infocenter.rds/dita/rds/designs/thingy/services/apps_ios_services_sound.html?cp=9_0_4_3
Smart remote 3 does this. You can download FW here. no need for key. https://www.nordicsemi.com/eng/Products/Bluetooth-low-energy/nRFready-Smart-Remote-3-for-nRF52-Series#Downloads
Thanks Daniel, I was not aware we removed the key.
