event for advertising packet is sent and scn rsp is sent

Hi. I'm using nRF52832 SDK 13.0.0.

My device is peripheral and it is advertising every time.

Now I want to change advertising packet and scan response packet every time.

I think if there are events for advertising and scan response, I can change those packets.

Could you let me know which event can I use and how to use?

PS. If I want to chage adv packet or scn rsp packet, I have to stop advertising and change packets then start advertising. Right?

Hey Roger,

You need to use the Radio Notification Event Handler. This will configure the SoftDevice to send the application a notification at a given interval of time BEFORE the radio is used. In this event you can change the advertising and scan response data by calling sd_ble_gap_adv_data_set().

Thank you very much for your help. Now I can get an event for advertising packet periodically.

I have 1 more question.

My device normally advertises without scan response if there is no active scanner.

If there is active scanner, it will send scan request, then my device will send scan response.

Q : Is there an event for Scan response is sent?

No, only for when it is received on the centrals side. You will have to use Radio Notifications like before.
