Chip Antenna Connection with QFN package nRF4122

Hi 

I am designing Circuit with nRF4122 - QFN package 48 pin, as per datasheet there is circuit for Trace/ PCB Antenna

But i am planning to use Chip Antenna and BAL-NRF02D3 

i need some clarification on connecting antenna signals ot Balun ANT2 and ANT1 to Balun

Please see image below

is it right or wrong

    Hi,

     

    The connection is correct, but BAL-NRF02D3 should not be used with the QFN package version. This is a part designed for the WLCSP package versions and their required load impedance and VDD_PA on the other side.

     

    For QFN you should either use BALF-NRF01D3, BALF-NRF01E3 (note the F) or Johanson Technology 2450BM14E0003.

    what is the difference between BAL-NRF01D3 and BALF-NRF01D3 ?

    Losses differ so is it recommended to use BAL-NRF01D3 ?

    Hi,

     

    BAL-NRF01D3 is an older part intended for nRF24-series and revision 1 of nRF51-series. BALF-NRF01D3 has an integrated harmonic filer for improved spurious rejection for revision 3 of nRF51-series and is therefore recommended over BAL-NRF01D3.
