How does mesh checks it the medium is already in use?

Hi all,

I have a question regarding the BLE mesh specification. When you are transmitting data using advertising frames, how does it check if the transmission medium is already in use? For example Bluetooth BR uses a kind of TDMA to schedule everything, Thread uses CSMA-CA to check if the medium is free. But i cannot find such a thing for Bluetooth Mesh. It seems like that they have nothing to prevent collisions, or am i wrong?

You are correct that Bluetooth Mesh does not check for collisions. It relies on limiting radio usage, retransmission, and acknowledgement packets for reliable transmission.
