High current consumption of ble_app_att_mtu_throughput example

Hello,

I'm doing some power evaluation of the three PHYs of BT5 using the PCA10056 preview (v0.9.0) and the PPK (rev 1.1.0), moreover I'm using the ble_app_att_mtu_throughput example provided in the last SDK (v15.0.0, sofdevice s140 v6.0.0).

When I run the PPK application I see spikes at 100ms interval and an average current consumption of 800uA. While I'm getting this the board is in idle, then it is supposed to go to low power, but it doesn't.

I've tried different ways of connecting the PPK and the DK (directly plugged on top or as external dut), but the consumption keeps high. It seems something related to an active peripheral such as the uart (I've tried to disable everything related to log module without luck).

Do anybody knows which are the not power optimized part of the ble_app_att_mtu_throughput example?

Thank you,

Davide.
