if nRF52840 is central how many peripherals can be connected at the same time using BLE 5.0 long range

I am using SDK15 and S140 and nRF52840 as central.  I plan on deploying a lot of temperature sensors each of which will

have a nRF52840 acting as a peripheral also using SDK15 and S140.  I want to know how many peripherals (temperature sensors) can be paired with the nRF52840 acting as central.

I plan on using BLE  long range.

Hey Philip,

I think the maximum link count is 20, but it depends on the connection intervals and packet lengths.

Is this just ram dependent.  Could I change something and make the number larger than 20 ?

I'm afraid 20 links is a limitation of the SoftDevice.

Same as number of links. The pairing/bonding information is managed by the Peer Manager. The number of stored bonds is limited by your available flash size. The size of one bond is dependent on what information it contains (maybe 50-300 bytes per bond).
