ICMP example not detected by bluetoothctl

Hi, 

I am using a nrf52840 development kit flashed with the ICMP example provided in SDK 15 and I am using a device with Bluez tools version 5.47 to connect to it.

However, when using the bluetoothctl command followed by scan on I cannot detect the dev kit, if I use the deprecated hcitool lescan command I can.

Does anyone know if this a configuration problem or what might be causing this?

I managed to fix the problem, the bluetoothctl does not detect the dev kit because the discoverable flag is not set in the ICMP example. 
I set it and it works, I just don't know why the hcitool behaves differently.
