nRF52832 Distance Calculation using RSSI and Tx

I am using nRF52832 with Beacon_App. I can able to get UID, Major, Minor, RSSI from my Raspberry PI using Python code.

I want to calculate the distance between my Raspberry PI and my Beacon.

Any one having best practice of measuring distance using RSSI value?

Is it must to set Tx value in code to calculate distance?

In what situation we need to change/set Tx value?

Take a look at this devzone link. Depending on which equation you are using to measure RSSI, you will need to set the TX Power in code. Using the RSSI to estimate the distance will give you a rough idea of how far the two devices are.

What if the real time effect if we give high value to Tx rather than keeping Tx  default value as '0' ? Will increase signal range?
