No command complete event recieved.

I am gaining my expertise in Nordic. After learning from tutorials. most of the tutorials mentions to use master control panel. But I cannot able to scan using master control panel. because every time I can I get the error that, no command complete event recieved. I tried to use nrf connect. The interface of master control panel and nrf connect is not the same. How can I keep up with tutorials ? How can I solve the error appearing on master control panel.

I have also tried to flash nrf 51 dongle multiple times but to no avail.

Thanks,

  • Hello,

I am not sure if I remember correctly, but I suspect that the flashing via Master Control Panel (MCP) is not working properly. You have to flash the hex-file located in:

    C:\Program Files(x86)\Nordic Semiconductor\Master Control Panel\[version number]\firmware\pca1000\MEFW_nrf51822_0.11.0_firmware_1M.hex

to your nRF51 DK\dongle, using nrfjprog or nRFGo Studio.

However, MCP is deprecated, and the application that has replaced it is nRF Connect for Desktop, which you can find here. I really recommend you to use this instead.

If you insist on using MCP and an nRF51 DK (not dongle), please also note that P0.30 has to be connected to GND. This is documented in MCP, if you click "help"->open help->supported hardware->PCA10001 and PCA10028 boards. I am just letting you know because it is not very intuitive to find.

But again, I really suggest that you check out the nRF Connect for Desktop.

    Best regards,

    Edvin
