Current consumption in NRF52

Hello everybody,

I use NRF52832, sdk14.2, s132 softdevice. When I install SDK examples(for example nRF5_SDK_14.2.0_17b948a\examples\ble_central\ble_app_uart_c), the minimum current consumption is 2.1mA. Previously, the samples in SDK8,10,12 had much lower energy consumption. Is there an extra configuration I need to do? Why do the examples in SDK14.2 have such high power consumption?

Can you check if logging is enabled? Go to sdk_config.h and set NRF_LOG_ENABLE to 0

Yes logging enabled. I think the uart consumes high power because it is open. How do I turn on/off the UART when I do not use it? "uart_init(); -> to turn on / app_uart_close (); -> to turn off" is it enough?

You should be careful turning off the UART if the logging module is using it. But yes, app_uart_close() should close the UART. It's better to turn off logging in sdk_config.h.
