using NFC to get bonding informations from smartphone (central) and transmit it over wifi to other peripherals and allow them to connect without bonding to my smartphone (central)

Hello Everyone,

I'd like to know if it is possible to use nfc to collect bonding informations from a smartphone.
Then I'd like to transmit these informations to other devices so any of them is able to connect to my smartphone securely without pairing step.

Is it possible or pairing is mandatory to establish a connection ?

Thanks for your help, and have a good day !

  • Hi,

It should be possible (at least in theory). You can use out of band pairing, and in that case, there is no particular restriction on how you transport the keys between the peers during the pairing process. You probably need to put some thinking into the transport process in order to do it in a secure (enough) way, though.

Perhaps someone in the community has done something similar or have some ideas?
