Does the nrf51822 ADC support bipolar inputs?

Hello,

I am currently working on a project that requires my analog signal to swing below and above ground. I was wondering if the ADC of the nrf51822 would be able to support such an input?

Thanks,

Alfredo

  • I suggest you to use circuit like this:

    a) If your +- input is single ended

    image description

    b) If your +- input is differential

    image description

And add the appropriate ADC input protection circuitry (i.e. 1kOhm series resistor and two diodes) to ADC input to ensure you will not exceed the maximum ratings.

    Best, Marek.
