Connecting Nordic thingy to nRF52 DK (Network)

Hi, 

I am trying to make a network of four Nordic Thingy: 52  IoT Sensor Kits by using the nRF52 DK to program them. Then, the readings for the 4 senors should be displayed in a tablet. Could anyone help me to implement this network please. 

I am using the following tools: 

• IAR Emedded Workbench IDE
• nRFgo Studio 
• nRF5_SDK_15.0.0_a53641a
• s132_nrf52_6.0.0

Hi,

Your question is quite vague.

1. Do you really need a network?
2. Why can't the four devices just have individual links to the tablet?
3. Are you thinking about a mesh network or a simple Bluetooth low energy start network?

It might be helpful if you describe your usecase in more details.

Actually I just want to take the readings from the 4 sensors and display them in a tablet. The connection is just based on nRF52 DK and blutooth.

What do you mean by this? 

To me it sounds like it will be easiest to just make an app that connects via BLE to each individual Thingy.

Sorry for not being that clear, I'm new into this field and I feel lost. So, as a begining, I would like to do something similar to this ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=879vhPbFXz4 ) but with a detailed steps if possible.

I don't speak the language that is being used in that movie, but the guy appears to be using BLE Mesh. If that is what you want then I suggest you start here: nRF5 SDK for Mesh v2.0.1. In our SDK for Mesh we have project files for Segger Embedded Studio (SES). Unfortunately there is no IAR support, but SES is free to use without limitations.

Hey Martin, is it possible for me to connect the nrf52dk board with the internet?

I have 2 of them and I want to make them talk with each other using UDP for which I would need their IP addresses. Before I can find get the IP,  I would need to connect them to the network. Thanks.

Yes, but you will need a BLE enabled router. You can read more about it here: IoT User Guide.

Actually, I tried following this tutorial.

It didn't mention anything about BLE enable Router.

Am I missing something? Do I need to connect a Bluetooth Dongle or something?

NOTE:

I was not able to complete the tutorial. I got an error: Set scan parameters failed: Input/output error. 

when I used the command: 'sudo hcitool lescan'
