Debug messages using SWD interface

Hi 

currently I am working with the nRF52840 Preview DK. Using the on-board J-Link interface I can send debug messages to the debug console of the Segger Embedded Studio. However, if I use the SWD interface together with an external J-Link programmer the debug messages do not appear on the console. How can I fix that?

Not sure why you want to use an external J-Link programmer if you already have the on-board programmer on the DK, but to answer your question:

Can it be that you now have two debuggers on the interface? Have you also connected GND and VTG?
