My understanding is that the only way a mobile phone can communicate with a mesh network is through the GATT bearer..
Im trying to figure out why its not possible to communicate with a mesh network over the advertisement bearer on an android phone? is it hardware related? or is it firmware related so that an app developer would not be permitted to change settings?
Is it different from the one used when advertising normally? or why does it have to be over the GATT bearer? could the advertisement packages on the android phone be changed to be used for mesh communication? why / why not?
