nRF52840

Hi,

In one of my application for Bluetooth 5.0 i would like to use nRF52840. Product requires certification. I would like to use  MCU which has BLE on chip and certified for FCC, CE, IC and other standard. I would like to avoid the use of  module as it increases the cost. Is nRF52840 is having  certified BLE? Or can you suggest any SoC having BLE certified. SoC should have minimum two uart. If i use module, Is it possible to reprogramme SoC in module  to incorporate other requirement of the product? Please suggest

Thanks and Regards

  • Hi Harikant,

all our nRF52 family Bluetooth SoCs and accompanying Bluetooth protocol stacks(i.e. SOftDevices) are Bluetooth 5 certified. Any  FCC, CE, IC certification must be done on the end-product by the customer. The nRF52 IC family has internal Flash, i.e. it is reprogrammable and supports Over-the-Air Device Firmware Updates(DFU). As for the Hardware peripheral features of our individual ICs, I suggest that you read the respective product specifications, e.g. here is the Product Specification for the nRF52840.

    Best regards
