Is it possible to reconfigure SDK example project to different board?

I have and older board which is the PCA10028 with the nRF51422 chip.

I have downloaded the nRF5 SKD 15.0.0 and found there is not example DFU project for my particular board. Is it possible to change the project configuration to suit my board easily?

I do recall using the DFU 1 year ago with and older SDK, should I simply download that older SDK and apply it?
