Low Latency Audio Link

I am looking for a solution to create a very low latency (<10mS) audio link for continuous streaming.

Is the proprietary mode on the nRF52 series able to do that?

Is there enough code space and overhead available for a simple user interface with the cpu portion of the device?

Hi,

 

If you use 2MBit on-air datarate, and long packets (> 100 bytes && < 255 bytes), then you should be able to push a decent amount of data through the link using nrf_esb.

However; It will depend on how much data you want to push through the link.

What are your requirements in terms of throughput?

Are you looking for a one-to-one link?

Yes, one to one link.

Throughput-wise, this should not be a problem to obtain. 512 kB flash, and 64 kB RAM (which is available with nRF52832) should not be a problem either. I'd recommend starting with the nrf_esb examples (prx for receiver, ptx for transmitter) and add your audio logic in there.
