nRF52832 module (MBN52832) FCC RF exposure

Hi, we are looking at using a FCC pre-certified nRF52832 module such as the murata MBN52832. It would be for a wrist mounted product so will be in close proximity to the body.

The MBN52832 RF exposure has been analysed at 20cm as a 'mobile' device with an external antenna so is no good for portable applications. If we have to do a new FCC application then we may as well develop our own nRF52832 circuit and not use an off the shelf module.

Does any one know of a good nRF52832 based FCC certified module that can be used in body mounted applications?

We are using the FCC-certified Rigado BMD-350 nRF52832-based module, in a similar body-mounted application (chest mounted). It works well and we do not expect FDA issues; information here;

Thanks very much for the info! That looks perfect for us the RF exposure calculation is for a wearable type device rather than a 'mobile' device with an external antenna.

You are welcome .. we buy from Arrow and can recommend the BMD-350 development board, which is very similar to the Rigado DK but with the BMD-350 module
