How to start application when the device is under DFU bootloader mode?

Hi,

I am working on my nrf52840 dongle and it looks really cool to me. I just found an issue that, when my dongle enter DFU mode using DFU trigger, I can not return to the application(If I do not want to upload new firmware, eg, I clicked cancel in my PC desktop software). The only way I can do is, pull out dongle and pull in. 

This is frustrating. May I ask, is there any better way to let open bootloader enter application? I guess the best way to trigger this action using a software command.

Hi,

The nRF52840 Dongle bootloader is based on the Open Bootloader with DFU from SDK 15, which does indeed have an Abort command. See DFU protocol. The command resets the bootloader. If I am not mistaken then that means it should go to the application if there is a valid application present.

NRF_DFU_OP_ABORT

None
