Hi all,
I am doing an evaluation on NRF52 Smart Remote 3 for my company.
I am working on a Ubuntu 16.04 virtual machine with Ubuntu live CD for Smart Remote 3
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I also tried setting up nvs-5.4 package on another virtual machine ubuntu 16.04, however I couldn't have managed to set it up successfully, after doing the same thing several months ago earlier. (At that time my purpose was debug audio transmission and comp. rates, now I want to have a system to set audio input with google to make a little showcase.) So, this time I couldn't bring NVS devices on Input Devices list and terminated the process and moved to your live ubuntu CD for nRF52 Smart Remote 3 as I mentioned above.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
On live-CD, after applying the suggestion on the last post of a topic, I am now able to see NVS devices on my Sound>InputDevices tab and select them and listen to them. However, When I click on the mic button on the remotes and hold it (both product example and DK add-on with the BT dongle included to the kit), google activates the mic, starts listening for a second or less, then it says "No internet connection" and goes back to google search page after couple of seconds. Then I added "Voice Search" add-on extention to Chromium app (Ubuntu equivalent of Chrome). When I use this add-on rather than normal voice activation on google search engine, it works seamlessly. The problem is, unlike normal google voice search, user needs to activate "voice search" add-on with a mouse click first, then talk to nRF52 remote while holding the mic button pressed. This is not ideal use-case. Therefore, I still want to fix the problem with google.com and stop using the chrome extention for voice search.
Is there any one who bumped into the same problem and found a way to fix it?
Any suggestion on the reasons of this issues and/or how to find a fix would be well appreciated!
Thank you all for the support!
