BLE Appearance

Hello,

I am using SDK 12.3.0 on nRF51822 development board and nRFConnect app to scan and connect the peripheral device.

When i changed Mouse icon by the GENERIC_THERMOMETER or any other icons in the example of BLE Peripheral Mouse, the mouse icon still present on the advertising screen.

Why icon doesn't get to change on the screen when we changes it in the code?

Hi!

I tested this myself, and the icon changes when using BLE_APPEARANCE_GENERIC_THERMOMETER.

Are you connecting to a smartphone? If yes, what smartphone are you using?
Or are you using nRFConnect for desktop?

It sounds like this might be related to some caching issue.

Did you connect/pair/bond to the example before changing to the GENERIC_THERMOMETER?

As I said, this might be caused by some caching issue on the phone.
If the device has been bonded to your smartphone, you should try deleting the bond information, turning the bluetooth on/off, restarting the app.
If the icon still doesn't change, I would try to restart the smartphone.

Let me know if you are not able to see the thermometer icon after trying the above, and we will see if we can find another solution.
