ble_app_uart, why experimental? any documentation?

I am just trying out the example BLE peripheral firmware designs on nRF51822 EK. Custom UART profile implementation is interesting for me and there is indeed an example project for that under ...\Nordic\nrf51822\Board\pca10001\s110\experimental\ble_app_uart Why is it under experimental directory? Is not it stable? I was not able to find: Is there a nice doxygen documentation about this example? Where?

Click here for Doxygen documentation. I believe it is experimental because it is not a service that is in the official Bluetooth standard. That is why they utilize vendor specific service and characteristic UUIDs.

As for stability, that will be a function of your intended application rather than the code itself. It is after all only example code.
