Installing SDK 5.2.0 to Keil 5.10 to recognize nRF51822IC Rev 2 Chip

I am working with an nRF51822 IC revision 2 chip and S110 SD 6.2.1 with Keil 5.10. My version of Keil 5.10 will not recognize the chip. I think that this is because I cannot install SDK 5.2.0.  I have found a download for SDK 5.2.0 on a different thread, but I have not been able to install the SDK onto Keil 5.10. Keil's pack installer will not recognize the SDK as a pack because it does not have a .PDSC file in the zip folder. I have seen windows installers that can install an SDK from a zip folder (such as the one that I have downloaded) onto Keil.  However, I do not have an installer specific to this SDK. Does anyone know where I can find one?

  • Martin,

I have since figured out this issue. Keil versions 5.01 through 5.10 no longer support the most recent packs. This would not be an issue, since I am using a pretty old SDK that doesn't need to be installed as a pack (I had the correct SDK for my soft device and chip). However, Keil 5.01 always recommended that I download the most recent family pack. The most recent family pack cannot be recognized by Keil 5.01. It took me some time, but eventually I found a link to older family packs that Keil 5.01 could recognize. Readers should see the link below if they are having the same issue (7.2.1 works).
