ANt & BLE on nrf52840 sdk15.0 s140

Hi,I did different research on wheat and ant. And I have two questions:

Can the BLE and ANT protocols be used on the same S140 softdevice on an NRF52840 board? (At the same time or not at the same time) .

If yes, if I use BLE and ANT in the same program, will the BLE be a minimum disturbed?

Thank you

  • Hi!

The Softdevice S140 is a pure BLE softdevice. You will need a softdevice that supports concurrent ANT+BLE available now.

Take a look at Sigurd's answer in this thread:
BLE5 and ANT+ in one device?

"Yes, the nRF52840 support BLE, ANT/ANT+, 802.15.4, and user-proprietary 2.4 GHz protocols. Unfortunately, there is no BLE+ANT SoftDevice available right now, but it’s right around the corner, and it will be called S340. For more detailed information regarding release schedules and roadmaps, please contact your local Nordic Regional Sales Manager(RSM). If you do not have any contact information, then let me know where you're based in a PM and I will provide you with the local RSMs contact info."

If you have any further questions, please let me know.
    Best regards,
    Joakim.
