Stack with both central and peripheral support?

Hello,

We are going to use nRF51822 in our product.

Use case is as follows:

  1. Connect with android/iOS phone and receive some configuration data.

  2. Connect and control BLE peripheral devices

Since the S110 is peripheral stack and the S120 is central stack, we cannot use either for both use cases.

Is nordic planning to release a stack with both central and peripheral support ? If yes when?

Or what changes / amount of work will be required for making either of the two as central and peripheral stack?

    Hello, just a hint from my side. I think it should be possible to use S120, if it is not needed to be central and peripheral at the same time. So for configuration with a smartphone you can init S120 as an peripheral and after that, for controlling the other peripheral devices, you can switch the role of S120 to be central. We are planning to use it in that way... If that is not possible, I hope a Nordic employee will clearify this... Regards!
