nRF52840 errata 197 workaround options

Hello support team,

I am using your product through a module vendor and I have a question regarding errata 197.  If the DC/DC regulator only has problems in low power states, would it be considered a valid workaround to put it in LDO mode before going into such a state, and back to DC/DC mode when coming out?

Hi,

 

Such a workaround was evaluated but deemed not viable. For now your options are the two workarounds described in the errata:

1. Not enable REG0 DC/DC.

2. Prevent REG0 stage to go to ULP mode.

 

A chip revision with this errata fixed is coming later this year, I expect your module vendor to supply modules with this only, once it is available.
