GPIOTE and Template Project

Hello,

I studied the "gpiote" example in the SDK. In order to fully understand how it works, I attempted to modify the "template_project" example and follow the process of "gpiote" example.

I am pretty much convinced that what I have done in the "template_project" - the flow, configurations, and process - are the same with the "gpiote" example.

However, the output of my template_project is not the same with that of gpiote. The LED1 just steadily lights up and does not blink.

Can anyone please help me check what's wrong? Attached the two projects.

• "gpiote" - is the original, working, and unchanged example in the SDK folder.
• "template_project" - is the one I modified to follow the functionality of gpiote example.gpiote.rartemplate_project.rar

The problem is that the nRF_Log module is enabled in ble_app_template (sdk_config.h),  not initialized in the GPIOTE example code. Therefore, when encountering a NRFX_LOG_XXX() statement, the chip will hang (nrfx_ppi.c, line 263). To solve the problem either disable logging in sdk_config.h (NRF_LOG_ENABLED 0) or initialize logging in main().

Thank you for the response. However, I am not using the "ble_app_template" project. I am using purely the "template_project" project (SDK-examples-peripheral-template_project).

Logging is disabled in "template_project" sdk_config.h (NRF_LOG_ENABLED 0).

The reason for this problem is the frequency set for the timer in sdk_config.h: In the gpiote example, it is set to 1 MHz, while in template_project, it is set to 16MHz. So in template_project, the LED is blinking, but  too fast for us to see it. Changing the frequency to 1 MHz solves the problem.
