Is it possible to program the nRF52840 dongle using the nRF52840-DK using SWD?

Is it possible to program the nRF52840 dongle using the nRF52840-DK using SWD?

I tried, but it failed. From the nRF52840 schematic, it looks the chip is running at 1.8V. This post says that it's not possible for the DK to program a 1.8V board. I just need confirmation from Nordic that this is true. 

I'd also appreciate any other suggestion on how I can use SWD to program the dongle.

Just wanted to add that we were able to program it using the DK. Just power the dongle VDD from DK's VDD so the voltage is detected at VTH.
