testing ble_beacon code on nrf52 development board but cr2032 cell drains in 3 days any good firmware for ultra low poer mode

I want advertise data only change with uuid for every 100ms I gone through the nrf 51power consumption guide I guess its same for nrf52 any help for changes or must have points in firmware of beacon code for 1 year battery life.

Any help appreciated thanks in advance

  • If you want to power the nRF52 DK with a coin cell then you should be aware that the battery will also power the Atmel ATSAM chip(Segger J-LINK OB Interface MCU) in addition to the nRF52. You need to cut SB29 on the nRF52 DK in order to only power the nRF52832. 

    If you want to measure the current consumption of the nRF52832 without cutting SB29, then you can cut SB9 and then use a Power analyzer or a DMM with a dynamic range from nA to tens of mA to measure the current consumption. The best solution would be to get hold of one of our Power Profiler Kits(PPK) and use the Power Profiler application in nRF Connect for Desktop.
