Are there adverse side-effects if two GPIO pins are shorted together but one is not used?

Hello,

Would there be any particularly adverse side-effect if two NRF51822 GPIO pins (e.g., P0.18 and P0.19) were shorted together?
One of the pins (e.g., P0.18) would be used as a digital output, while the other (e.g., P0.19) would be wired to P0.18 but unused.

Simplified rationale for the question:

We have some prototype PCBs which basically by mistake have two of the NRF51822 pins shorted together. We only want to use one of the two pins; so if we can just use it without bothering much about the other one, we could keep testing with these PCBs.

Thanks & best regards!
