SES debug of nRF51822 hangs with "Unknown function at 0x000006B0" in ble_app_uart sample

Running SES with SDK v12.2 and debugging an nRF51822 running the ble_app_uart sample application. After running for some period of time (typically 2 - 3 minutes) the debugger stops on a line of assembly (appears to be the same point each time). No error in the console, but the function selector at the top shows "Unknown function at " and some hex address. (Currently 0x000006B0).

I've adjusted the flash_placement.xml file and the thumb_crt0.s file to (theoretically) include the expected flash storage. Apparently that was the issue for the previous poster who was also working with the uart example. I haven't found a flash_placement.xml file that's specific to the nRF51822 - the examples I've been working from were for nRF52 devices. Perhaps there's a difference? Here's what I've got:
