How can I enable Bluetooth 5 PHY feature using nrf-connect-ble?

Hi,

I have 2 devices: one nrf52832 and one nrf52840 dongle. After enabling PHY feature (see the following code) in nrf52832, I tried to connect it using the dongle in the tool nrf-Connect-ble. However, the RTT prints: 

PHY Update procedure failed! (HCI Error Code: 0x1A)

I guess the dongle currently does not support PHY feature, right? Is there any plan to support it? Thanks.

Sorry for the delayed response. Which example & which sdk version did you test this with on the 52832?  Which softdevice version did you use?

Hi, I am using latest pc-connect-ble latest version and sdk 14.2 for 52832 without softdevice replacement.

Hi Vincent, nrf connect for desktop does not support Bluetooth 5 yet unfortunately due to the pc-ble-driver & the connectivity FW. Bluetooth 5 support should hopefully be available around Q1, 2019.
